The day the music died.... (Thanks Charlie, it was fun while it lasted)

Oh, and while the king was looking down,
The jester stole his thorny crown.
The courtroom was adjourned;
No verdict was returned.
And while lennon read a book of marx,
The quartet practiced in the park,
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died.

We were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."

Oh, and there we were all in one place,
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again.
So come on: jack be nimble, jack be quick!
Jack flash sat on a candlestick
Cause fire is the devil’s only friend.

Thanks for everything my friend. I wish you the best, goodbye and godspeed. Charlie quitting blogging has effected me more than I will ever say. That is all I have to say about that. It was fun.

Yes it was.

I wish I could get the glory days back, but time and tide have forbidden it (for now).

One the bright side; I'm sure I'll be around here more now! Nothing will ever keep me from opining, ya know.

Thank you for the tribute, Jess.

Someday you'll come back? I really miss heading for your site in the mornings to see what hit the fan while I wasn't looking... You are good, Charlie. Miss your voice.
